New CBR Owner
Hey everyone,
My name's Jerry and I am new to the forum and CBR World. The first time I rode a bike was in 2002 on my friend's F4I. I dont know what it was about that bike, but I've loved a CBR ever since. When Honda rolled the RR model down, I knew from that day that was the bike I was going to get. 5 years later and after a lot of back-and-forth arguments with my folks, I am officially an owner of an 03 CBR 600RR.
When I first saw this bike, I immediately fell in love with it. When the owner turned it on (Jardine pipe installed), I questioned myself if this is the right decision or not. To be honest with you, I was scared when I heard it revving! I knew that if I wanted this, I was putting a lot on the line, even my life. After sitting on it and clutch controlling it (thank goodness for MSF), I felt more comfortable to take it out for a quick spin. When i came back, that's when I made my decision. I am hoping to learn from a lot of you experienced CBR Riders on the forum to boost my confidence. I have also taken the first good step by purchasing and reading Twist of the Wrist II by Keith Code, so if anyone has any advice for me, I'm listening!
Cheers,
Jerry

RE: New CBR Owner
Well, consider yourself welcomed! There's a lot that can be learned here, and don't be afraid to use the "search" function to look up things if you've got questions. If you can't find it, find the right forum and ask away! There's plenty of information, also, in the How-To section, if you are at all mechanically inclined and/or want to try something yourself or save some $$. Good luck!
