hey all I just got my new CBR1000rr and I love came from a VTR1000. Just one question I notice the bike doesnt start right away there is a approx 2 second turnover before starting. Is this normal ? I see other bike Suzuki etc starting on a touch of the starter.

Welcome to the site. My 600rr does that, it only has about 2500 miles on it and it does that. I'm sure that's normal.[8D]

Welcome to the boards. I'm not sure if thats normal with your cbr1000rr or not. Hopefully someone on here who has one can give more details.

seems normal on my CBR1000RR, it will roll over ( 2-3 pulses) before firing...maybe it has something to do with the dual stage injection system?? I dont know, but I would not worry about it

Welcome to the site. I think it has everything to do with the dual stage injection priming. Normal operation, don't lose sleep over it. Besides the zuki and kawi have to start quicker to get a jump on us!!!
