Default New Bike on the Block

Hello One and All,

Here from the UK, just got a CBR 600 F4 1999 model. its got 50K on it but the engine still sounds tight, I've named her the Duchess, its freezing and wet here in the UK so i am frustrated that i can just look admiringly at the bike at the moment.

Got her insured yesterday so at the first bit of decent weather i am going to take her out for a ride.

I have a haynes manual but i will still be seeking advice and guidance from the good folks on the boards.

Look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the forum, 'Duchess' looks in fine fettle for 50k and the vagaries of the UK weather.

Cheers Man,

the chap i bought it from rode it the 30 mile journey and she was covered in crud by the time she arrived, a gave her a quick clean but the salt on the roads in the UK, as you will know, is horrendous this time of year.

When i get time i'll take the fairings off and give her a better clean.

The chap i bought the bike from really looked after her, so i feel obliged to keep up with the maintenance to keep her going as long as i can.
