Welcome to the CBR Forum James,

Quite a few good CBR1000Fs up for sale currently so hope the one you choose pans out!

There are a few Aussies on the forum, so no doubt you'll run into one sooner or later.

Cheers, SB

Gday redno1 welcome 2 the forum, I'm on the right side of the equator so you've found another Aussie already. I recently found myself a 954 FireBlade @ a price I couldn't refuse. Found this site not long after which helped me answer a lot of enquiries, I haven't been this happy in years.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the welcome... I am looking at an 89 1000f for $1800 or near offer with 97000 ks on the clock. It's a 4 hour trip before I can see it in the flesh. I am told the Cam Chain Tensioner is noisy until the bike warms up, I am aware they have had CCTs as an issue however if the rest of it checks out fine I would go ahead and purchase it.
What other major items would I need to be aware of when purchasing one of these?

I saw that one on Ebay as well mate looks like a very tidy bike (if it is in fact the same bike)

It could well be the same one, I will know more next weekend. There are a few good ones available right now. They are a lot of bike for not too much money.
