Hey all. Finally got my first (and second bike) CBR earlier this year. Probably would have joined the forum earlier, but summer lasts about two weeks up here so you have to get your riding in while the gettin's good.
Anyone else from up here as frustrated as I am just staring at their bike?

Your riding season is 2 weeks long?? Good lord that's terrible.
Is it just brutal cold or snow everywhere? If its just the cold, i'd just get Heated everything gear and you might be able to extend that 2 weeks some.
Regardless welcome! Lets see some pics of these bikes!

nuttynu/natediesel: I've got an '08 CBR600. I'm up in the interior, North Pole/Fairbanks area. The season isn't really two weeks, but it is shorter than any of us would like. Generally about 3-4 months. Lot's of ice and hardpack on the roads and the coldest it gets up here is -60, so winter riding is not an option, no matter how much I want it to be. It's ok though, that's why we have mountain sleds to fill that void in my soul.
I'll try to get some pics of the ride up sometime, but it's nothing really special yet. Oh and I don't have two bikes... let's just say I've been baptized by pavement.
