hows it going guys? just purchaced a 97 600f3 today. 4200 original miles, and i got her for 3500.00. never been laid down. so, im thinking i got a great deal. i have to wait 2 weeks before i can pick it up tho. no extra money left for registration/title/insurance/helmet. so i have to wait patiently. i gave up modding my import car, and decided to sell at the mods and buy a bike. but i still race my car.

anyways, glad to find a site to get me caught up on alot of the things i can do for this bike.

post some pics of the bike when u get it. i also have a 97 f3 which i love. i bought it on a whim- like about 1 minute left on an ebay auction, and was lucky to get a great bike. welcome to the cbr world and the forum.

 

thanks guys and gals for the welcome. im picking her up on sunday (i cant wait). already got my cy endorcement and going to sign up for some msf classes very soon. and ive gotta go buy a lid tomorrow. i was the 9th guy to call, but first to show up to look at it. bought it 30 minutes later (well, put a deposit down).

well i just got back from picking her up. boy o' boy, was it a sweet ride home (1.5hr drive, mostly freeway). i tooled around his subdivision for a few minutes, then it all came back to me from the last time i had a bike. i can say im extreemly happy with the way the bike rides and handles, and how fast you are going without realizing your doing 80 on the freeway.

Congrats!! I have a 97 F3 also, my first bike, and I love it! Holds its own out there on the streets! This place is great if you have questions about anything! Have fun and be safe!

 

i absolutely love this bike. ive put about 300 miles on it since i got her legal (tag/insurance) last thursday. and ive already ran outa gas on the freeway at 11pm. then realized (remembered) the reserve switch 5 minutes later and was off to the gas station. lmoa
