Default New and 90's CBR questions ...

Hi,

I have been riding around on a Scooter for a while (250cc). It's pretty cheap to repair and such but a lot of small things go wrong with it and I don't have time to look at it much.

Sooo, for around 2k it looks like I can buy a CBR600. What should I know about these bikes? I want some reliability and not open a money pit of repairs. Thanks for you help!!

rock solid reliable cbr 600,as long as it was'nt abused to bad. look for original colored fairings, some peolpe have accidents and end up getting a paint job. make sure that you observe the bike running, take it for a test drive make sure that it idels and shifts properly. check the fluids, w/my experiance w/cbr 600f2 i have no complaints 26k miles i only changed the oil.
good luck w/your serch.

Thanks for the info! I like to hear the "rock solid reliability" :-). I'm very **** about my cars, so I would most likely maintain it very well. If I decide to get one, I'll make sure to have a full inspection done at a reputable shop. From what I hear, it's hard to judge the condition when you are a novice like myself...
