Default N00b from Minnesota

Hello all,

Thought I would stop and introduce myself. My name is Howard and I live in Minnesota. Bought a 2003 CBR600RR at the end of last season, but I have not been able to ride it yet. I upgraded from a 1993 Yamaha FZR600.

Here are a couple of pics:

It has a Yosh slip on, fender eliminator kit, flush mount blinkers, tinted windscreen, and I have installed frame sliders. I am looking forward to this up comming riding season.

Welcome to the forum Howard.

It's going to be a fun summer on that bike! Congrats and welcome to the CBR side of things.

I am a member of MNSBR and of ZG.(same screen name) I have done a few of the group rides back when I had the FZR. I also have done some DCTC stuff with ZARS, and plan on doing more DCTC days as well as some track days with them and Road Closed Productions this coming season. Also have a big plan come June to ride out to California on the bike and ride from San Fran to Los Angeles on the PCH as well as hitting up Mullholland and Tuna Canyon Road. Round trip will be over 4500 miles. Taking 3 weeks off from work for the trip so I wont get tired out too quickly. Already started to pick up stuff for the trip that I will need, like saddlebags and a tail bag.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Howard,

That is a lovely bike - and I applaud the riding list you have there. A few of the guys and gals on the forum have done long distances on their CBRs, so feel free to ask any questions.

Cheers, SB

Thanks Sebastionbear. I have been browsing the Road Trips forum section. I will be posting up questions once it gets a little closer to the trip. Also hope to be able to meet up with some forum guys once I get out to Cali to hit up some tristies.
