Hi Graham, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new bike.

These are heavy old girls alright, but it is possible to get her on there.

The way I do it, is to turn the bars fully left, hold the left bar with left hand and there is a grip handle to the rear. push down the centre stand and then balance her there (she won't fall, so long as you have your foot on the stand). Then push down on the centre stand with your foot, use leg power to get her up there, don't wrench with your back, you'll probably do yourself an injury

Getting her back down, I always sit on her, too scared of her going over the other way

Hi Possibleone, thanks for the welcome.Ive been biking since 1967 and always wear good bike gear. The Honda is quite a revelation being very smooth, planted on the road, handles very well, effortless speed,so so utterly comfortable, and awesome brakes(linked). She also has a low seat height which suits me,and my wife thinks the bike looks stunning.I have all the books with the bike which shows hardly any service history from the main dealer, but its obviousy been serviced correctly throughout its life as at 57000mls she sounds quiet and purrs, and she is immaculate in wine red and silver, with the original gloss black exhaust system.
