My new CBR1000 f-m
Its taken me a good few years to get back in the saddle but I have made that step into the enjoyment zone once again. Had a CBR in previous earlier years being the f-j model and just loved it having tried the ZX-10 VFR-750 but fell for this model. Traveled and toured all over Europe and enjoyed every minute. Then the inevitable happens KIDS!!!!! :¬)) and the first item to go was the CBR.
I'm learning fast that many of the items for restoring are sadly a bit like "Hens Teeth" rare if not out there so hoping I might have some CBR followers enlighten me as to suppliers for spares and bits and bobs. Need headlamp as cracked and Pads seem to be discontinued etc Also after a Honda set of E/Pipes and hex heads and fairing nuts and bolts etc. I'm southern UK based near Brighton so all info of any sorts all welcomed.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.
Bodywork and lights are pretty much nonexistent, so E-Bay and patience is your best bet.
Consumables including brake pads I used to get from wemoto.com . I think most stuff is available and they're down on the A259 in Southwick.
I usually just pop down there and buy stuff over the counter.
Post up some pictures, show your old girl off!

Hi Steve and thanks for the welcome
Gosh its good to be back in the two wheel brigade. I've been put of by the Missus for years on getting in the sadle again. However, its done and I'm grinning from ear to ear
Now comes the interesting bit, Cracked headlamp...........Dough but I'll resin repair if I cant find one. Daughter into the resin scene so in the family.......Yeah
Few bits are needed but essentially its looking a very clean example for a 1991 1000F-M.
Shocks misted but few seals will cure that seapage. Clutch and fluid brake change and then who knows what else I might dirty my hands on.
Out of curiosity who/where would you recco for visor and fixing bolts?

For the headlamp might be worth a look on Ali-Express miracles have been known to happen.

Here's genuine ECE headlight for CBR1000F
https://www.baboon.eu/en/part/honda-...7/000001062217

Also one on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384079598785
ECE beam is so much better than DOT's flashlight spot-pattern.
I used to sell headlight upgrade kit for Porsches with ECE headlamps to replace factory DOT versions.

While lots of parts may not be available, Honda generally uses same components across many different models. Can find lots of electrical here:
