Default Music or No Music

Is it safe to ride and listen to your iPod or whatever you have?

I've tried. I keep catching the headset cable and the ear pieces end up on my checks. I would if I can find a better way to have speakers in my helmet.

I think if your iPOD supports Bluetooth you can have it wireless to make it much easier.

I've tried...I feel like a speed demon at times, but then don't feel safe b/c I can't hear everything. Matter of preference I guess.

are you still able to hear the road/muffler/engine?

I'm thinking of getting a chatterbox for this purpose. also it would be nice to take phone calls while riding especially since i have to be on call.

the chatter box, from what I've seen, looks like a brink on the side of the helmet... how do you ride with one sticking to your helmet?

i only ride with music. even if it is to the store and back. i can't live without it. personally it puts me in the zone. of course i ride fast, but not because of the music...unless maybe if tool comes on my ipod shuffle. also i absolutely feel like i can hear everything around me as well. i also wear it in my pocket in such a way that i can turn the volume up and down at will, even pause it if i so decide. of course i also tend to wear my headphones at work to, so i guess i'm use to it.
