Default mpg on hwy 600 vs 1000 cbr

What is the mpg on the hwy 600 vs 1000 cbr? I read in the 07 shoot out the 1000 was a pig but, they were ringing her out.
I have an hour and 15 mins drive to owork and 1 hour is all hwy. Just easy crusing no over 70 mph.
Thanks

Are you sure you want to be on an RR for that long in a straight line? Anyway, if you don't get a good answer in this section, try searching the forums. For what it is worth, my F4i is very close to 48mpg if I take it very easy, although I have been 50+ but that could be filling errors. The 600RR will probably be a little less than that.

RIght now all honda dealers are discounting their 1000rr $2500. Is this what they did last year?
Wonder if they have too many or they did not sell?

The dealer told me Honda fronts them the bikes & after the end of the year they have to pay a floor fee on them.

Hate to be a party pooper but anST is a better bike for the job.

ST weighs 700lbs. I dont think so. CBR1000RR is my toy, break away from work and maybe ride to work once in a while. Have no time to tour. I have a 2 year old son.

Without any mods on my 600, I was consistently hitting 47 - 50mpgs on the highway and I average 70mph. I can only do 150 miles straight before my butt starts hurting on it though.

I thought you were looking to buy a bikewhen you mentioned the $2500.00 drop in price. and I figured you were planing oncomuntinga lot otherwise the mpg difference isn't going to amount to anything.
I haven't ran a tank on all hwy miles. I kind of hope I never do.
I bet it's not that much different though.I think once it is moving it'smore about weight & wind resistance. The 1k has more displacement to deal with butthe sixis also turning higher r's.
How's the *** feel at the end of the commute?
I used to sit on the tank to stretch the legs on my old scoot.
I never ride far enough in one shot to make it worth it but. If the *** was getting checked on a reguler basis.I'd see if I could get a stunt cage on & off easy enough & put somerear pegs on it.
