Just got my first bike and she's an oldie, 1989 cbr 600 f1 hurricane. I'm desperately trying to find the lower front fairings and/or an OEM chain guard but it's like trying to find a unicorn. Does anyone have ideas or resources they can reccomend ?

Don’t know where your based but plenty on eBay.uk
Second hand lower fairings costing around $170 for both sides plus you’ve got your postage etc. Would look up part numbers so you can reference fitting matches. Could save a headache.

Yep! she's an old'y all rite! As sure as your best honey hole for a dinosaur like that is "Ebay", & as far as OEM's ? most of the listings will be breaker's, So it will be 75% to 90% used factory parts & fitment wont be a problem, If your looking for new parts? that my be a pain as well as costly. Dude if your going to grab a old'y get one of the Big 4's 2000 to 2005 production's as they are cheap as, spare's are lot of & super cheap ( even new parts), & like all 80's/90's bikes they too are easy to work on & they too don't have throw away assemblies which new productions are full of. Sounds like you have a ride you once had long ago when times were worth remembering, So good luck & enjoy it. C.Webb
