Thanks Trout and Regen, I appreciate it.

I just purchased a new motorcycle lift, if it warms up this weekend I will be using it and changing my oil. I will let you know how it goes!

Dustin, nice bike! Welcome to the forums! F4i's are great...even the nanner seat ones (in some ways they are even better). as for common isues...only ones i can think of other than general maintenance stuff, is the CCTL and occasionally the green wire in the main harness not making a proper connection.

safety courses are a definite great learning tool

Thanks Xander. I actually wanted the one piece seat. I will refer to it as the one piece, it sounds cooler than nanner seat. haha. Doesnt it have a lower seat height? Being my first bike, I think that will do me better.

Sprock, I got the standard Craftsman lift, the one that also has...anchors? Not really anchors, but something that turns it into a flat surface opposed to sitting on the four wheels it rolls on. My dad has a Harley, so I got that one instead of the aluminum one. Plus it was on sale for 90 bucks at Sears.

Any tips on using a lift, besides the obvious?
