A little about myself, I've had my motorcycle endorsement now for 2 years. Been ridng an 83 Yamaha 400 on/off when it's running. So now I'm looking to upgrade to an 03 600RR. Not sure if I want to go through a dealer or a private seller, either way, what are some good tips when buying and what to look out for? And I want to try and get my hands on the red/black but I hear it's rare to find, true?
Any ideas, thoughts, and opinions are welcome.

I would just look around. I like the idea of a dealer since they have most likely been looked over and serviced, but with a private sale you can sometimes get a better deal. Just take your time and find the bike that you don't want. When I got my '05 600RR I really wanted to get something used but just couldn't find anything in the area. Those that I did find were pretty pricey so I just spent a few thousand more and got new. I really like the idea of a bike that has never been riden, you just never know with a used bike how it was riden or if it was serviced correctly. Best of luck in your search, let us know what you get.

The difference between street and enduro is tremendous. The tires the position on the bike. Take your time lookin' dont settle! Find what you want! Let us know as you go along, maybe we can lend some advice. As for the colors, I haven't heard those were a smaller production. Possibly? But nothing I heard about,....[8D]

Is there any major differences between 03-04? Besides colors? I can't seem to find any reading on the 04s. Thanks for the replies fellas.
