Hi everybody. So I just bought an '06 CBR 600rr and I love it. It had only 2800 miles and is nearly flawless. I upgraded from a '97 CBR 600F3 that was all beat up and street fighter style and prollyhad 35,000 miles,so this is almost too nice for me.The only problem I have with it isthat it looks like it has one of the '05 paint schemes, black with gray Honda logos and flat black lower fairing instead of the '06 with thered Hondalogos,does anyone know if'06 bikes had these colors? I like the colors I have better but just wonder why my'06 (atleast that'swhat the VIN sticker says) might have '05 colors.Maybe its regional, I bought itin San Antonio, Tx. looks like an 05 to me, maybe the original owner wanted the decals to match or something. i dont know just saying. bike still looks nice.

 

Thanks for the comment. I checked the paint code under the seat and it was for the digital silver metallic (NH A30 M). So maybe the bike was down and he had the bodywork replaced, although there is no damage any where, or hopefully he just swapped out with someone'05that wanted silver and he wanted black. The title was clean and when it arrives backl fromthe DOT in my name I'll look up the previous owner and ask him. Or maybe I'll just put it outta my mind 'cause I love the bike and plan to keep it for many years. Does any one know the '05 black's paint code of at least the full name, thanks.
