hey guys, my name is joe. i got 96 cbr600.

a little about me and the bike, i pickd it up last year from my brothers good freind for $500, just needed a fuel pump to run. rode it around for the summer and parked it..

i live in WA but i am up in Alaska working. since ive been here ive orderd tons of parts for it so when i go home in april, ill have plenty to do on it. a few things i order, parts for 98 rear end swap, set of 2ct tires, all new plastics, new levers, fork oil/seals, motor oil/filter, spark plugs and more....

cant wait to get back home and do some rideing. we live in the seattle area and we're plannin a little trip either down the 101 coast (WA, OR, CA) or over into ID where a budy lives.

everytime i google something for the bike, this forum comes up and has helpd me almost everytime so i figured why not sign up and say hi!

I was wanting to ride up the 101 from southern California some day to Oregon or Washington. Maybe we will pass each other....

 

i got a question already. i dont know if its just my computer or internet connection or maybe i need to be a member longer but i wasnt able to get a avatar to load up?

 

Does it give you a "don't have permission" message?

 

nope... when i click on "edit avatar" the page lodes and there a thing to check that says something like "do not use avatar" and it just doesnt let me uncheck it

 

Under that box, there should be a "custom avatar" panel.

If you're not seeing that, it may be due to your account still being in moderation.

The CBR600s have a strong following on the forum. Post some pictures of your bike soon. Perhaps you might like to start a rebuild thread for your bike as it sounds as you have a lot of work planned for it!

since im up in AK, i wont be takin any pics since the bike is back home in WA but ill search around and see if i can find any to post.

but when i get home, ill start a thread on everything im doing... the plan is all white fairings, then black accents, wind screen, gas tank, wheels, bolts holding on the farings
