Figured I would introduce myself considering I'm probably going to be asking a good bit of questions later on. My name's Eric and I've been riding for the past 4 years. Although, this is the first sport bike that I have owned. I rode my fathers 01' Yamaha Roadstar 1600 for the longest time. Then one of my buddies decided to get rid of his bike and I bought it. It's an 01' CBR600 F4i. Picked it up off of him after he had laid it down in a parking lot and got scared. Paid 1500 for it. I'm hunting for a set of fairings for it too. I'm really excited about owning my own bike and I expect to spend a good bit of time here reading about parts and learning. Mods on the bike:
48t rear sprocket (bought today)
Just bought me a set of Metzler Sporttec M3's.
D&D Full exhaust (As far as the guy says)
and a Power Commander III
This bike has really made me a believer that a 600 isn't slow.

Thanks man, I like the color too.. Red and the Yellow color are my favorites on these. I want to get those scratches fixed. I need to find some pieces for it and get them sprayed. It's pretty dirty too, if it'd just get sunny outside I'd clean it. Damn afternoon showers keep me from taking it out. I have to get up early to ride it around.

Yeah, I like the way it looks without them. And I really don't see me in any twistys anytime soon. I can't even bring myself to take the bike above 9k rpm. [:'(]

 

Awesome bike...I have a 2001 CBR 600 F4i also, black & silver ...LOVE IT! I'm new too, my name is Heather and I'm from Hatfield, PA. I've only been riding for little over a year after taking the MSF course, which, by the way, I would recommend to all new riders, as it was very helpful and informative. I started out on a Ninja 250 and my husband bought me my Honda for Christmas...red bows all over it in the garage! How awesome is that! I've also ridden his Ninja ZX6R, but overall, I definitely prefer my Honda, she's my baby! She gets treated better than my kids some days...HAHA. I love riding...I find myself takingthe nicedays off from work just to ride ALL DAY LONG! I'm totally addicted to it! I've got a hot pink Joe Rocket jacket and pinkIcon Mainframe Hooligan helmet...(so cute). I'm going to buy a pair of the Icon Bombshell boots to wear to work under my dress pants, as well as the Alpinestars Stella S-MX 4 racing boots for my days off and taking the corners a little more aggressively! I'm in the cycle shop at least once a week to see what new stuff they've got.....they know me by name, well, they call me"Pretty in Pink"and give me discounts all the time..how cool is that?!
