Default I just bought a

1997 CBR 600 F3. 15k miles super super immaculate clean for $3400. What do you think of the deal?

But I have one concern. The windscreen is cracked. Could anyone tell me where I can find a 1997 CBR 600 F3 stock or aftermarket windscreen? It would mean the world to me thank you!

Nice to meet you all!

my name is japan

really

Hello Japan, congratulations on your new bike. The price paid for that bike seems reasonable to me. My though on that is; if the motorcycle is worth $3400 to to you, then you got a good deal. Know what I mean? 15K miles is nothing, imo.
With your windscreen, I'd suggest getting either an OEM or a respectable name brand aftermarket one (Zero Gravity). I've heard of fitting problems with cheap generic brands. E-bay is an awesome place to get used/new parts and there is a classifieds section here also. We love pictures around here so post them if you've got'em.
Welcome to the forum & stay safe

THANK YOU! haha i like your title, so your getting paid to say hi to the noobies? ;-)

lol i guess I am kinda nostalgic about old school bikes. I mean back in 1997 the CBR 600's ROCKED but I was too young to ride =(

Now I am getting a piece of Honda legacy =P

I was going for a gsxr though =P

Btw sir,

I am thinking about contacting a dealer and asking for the parts but I am doubting that they have CBR parts for 1997 models. Isnt my bike too old? thanks!

Whatever you do, you don't want to go to a dealer. Unless you like overpaying for stuff. Obviously some parts you have to get there, but a windscreen is not one of them, imo.
"I mean back in 1997 the CBR 600's ROCKED", they still do

That's amazing that a 12 year old bike can look that good ~ wow!

thank you great information and people you got on these boards

hahah yeah they still rock! a

and NO I HATE OVERPAYING!
here is a story about that:
Was out at a dealer looking to buy a preowned bike. It was a 2001 gsxr 600 with 22k miles for around $6500 not including tax. I ask if they can lower the price but all the guy says is, "if you can't pay up someone else will come along." I feel sorry for the people who think dealer prices are average market price. they dont know better so the dealer can easily sell stuff at bogus prices.

Dealers....(sigh)
