How do I get the scratches off my '08 tank
I have just bought the '08 1k and already teh tank is showing scratches from my arms or leathers or anythingthat comes into contact with it. I have a tank protector to stop zip scratches but it i sreally bugging me now. I dont want to use T-Cut a it says on teh tin dont use on plastics. Any ideas?

they mean raw plastics... with no paint on them.... they use the same paint to paint plastic as metal just with a flex additive... if it's a painted clear coat surface you can use anything that is clearcoat safe..
After you get the scratches outyou may want to protect the tank with a clear film bra, I have it on my S2000 and it looks OK but it does a nice job protecting the paint.
A pit bull stand works well...put it up on the stand and leave it in the garage...not riding it keeps it show room clean...i use turtle wax and a rubbing compund along with a 6 inch high speed buffer i bought at Sears ...or you could sit up and not ride around in a croush all the time...
OK I get the message I was just annoyed at losing that show room look on the first day.

i agree don't sit too close and/or lean too much on the front of the tank...i'll do the damage..
make sure ur tank pad is not the smaller version as well...
any belt buckcles..cover with shirt to avoid further damage..
