Default honda goldwing dies

I have an 86 gold wing. Starts and runs great for 2/3 blocks and dies Will not start until I let it sit 10 minutes. Starts up and gets me home.???? Any ideas why it is dying. I have had a new stater installed and a new heavy duty battery and a new starter .... it is a money pit....HELP ???Before I had the stater installed it exploded when it died and tried to start it.

If the problem is not electrical i would say to have the carberator checked out. The bike could be flooding itself which would cause it to die. Also check the spark plugs as well. They very well could be fouling which would explain the waiting 10 mins for them to dry out. Thats just what i would suggest though. But im not amechanic either

Hello Dd...sorry your first post is one about having troubles. Maybe you have something drawing too much power, like the blender, espresso machine, sattelite tv, or even the treadmill...just kidding! You way want to hit up the general tech area for additional input. Welcome aboard.
