Default Hi from Torquay, UK.

Hi. My name is John Armstrong and I live in Torquay in the UK. This forum looks great!

I have had my CBR1000FL from new in 1991 and love it to death! It has now done 57000 miles and I only take it out now when its not raining (and believe me, it rains a lot here!!!).

I have always tried to keep the bike in good condition and as original as possible. There are however (with the exception of the luggage racks) two non Honda parts. One is the screen (I have the original) but can any member spot the other?!

Cheers and good biking.

John A

PS: I also have a 1971 BSA Lightning

Nope. It's not the foot pegs, They are original. Look harder!!

(I bitterly regret buying these glaringly obvious after market parts just to save a bob or two!. Ruins the whole bike IMHO!!!)

Cheers

Welcome to the CBR Forum John,

Nice bike and you'll get along just fine with Naga_Thai who has the same philosophy regarding Mr Honda's originality.

The other non original parts are the front brake discs.

(Had to be that or the mufflers being in good old wet, salty England)

Cheers, SB

Spot on and thanks for the welcome!! I bitterly regret buying these cheap disks. Still, they seem to do the job OK.
