Hi for Mctiger
Just a quick hello,
Just bought a CBR 600 FS1 2001.
It is kitted out for track days but with a daytime MOT (what a result)
I have been riding it sometimes seems for far to long but hope to continue for a lot longer still!
I have ridden all sorts over my time (even had a Harley Wide Glide!) but currently in my garage are:
Triumph Tiger 1050
Honda SP1 (the wifes! Alison) though I do get to play with it sometimes.
Yamaha R6 race bike (going racing this year)
and now the CBR 600
August last year saw the Tiger and 2 SP1's in the garage, but I did my first track day and realised that it was going to be a big part of my life and within a week had bought a 2000 carb model R6 that hed been originally built for the TT. (It probably only shares the frame and swing arm with the original bike but hey who cares!)
Between us (Alison and I) we then did track day after track day (Her SP1 did find its way around Oulton park a few times!)
I had only put 500 miles on my SP1 in 6 months so it was sold.
The Tiger sat forlornly in the garage un used (considering I had put 21k miles on it in about 22 months it now 10 months after getting the R6 stands just short of 22k)
Anyway towards the end of last year I decided I would try my hand at racing (Novice group and Pre injection classes) So I have got the licence, joined the clubs, got spares for the R6 coming out of my R6 (scuse the pun) a van and awning and can't wait for test day and the first race in May.
The only downside was that Alison still wants to do track days and won't use her SP1 and reminded me that the whole idea of the R6 in the first place was for track days.
I can't have her chuck my now race bike down the track so managed to convince her that we needed another bike for her to use as a track bike and managed to find this CBR 600 with daytime MOT.
So as they say "Jobs a Good One" and I have yet another bike to play on!
I will naturally post pics as and when I have finished tarting it up.
So anyway I am 46yrs spent my working life in the Military and now Local Government in Greater Manchester.
Live with Alison and our 2 dogs Owen and Eddie near Preston, Lancashire, Have 4 bikes an estate car and Transit van, obviously enjoy riding, and hope to get back in touch with normal road riding this year (though I am going to the TT for the first time ever).
Anyway hope that wasn't too painfull and hope to see some of you out there.
Andy

Great intro, man, and a great set of bikes!!
I'm just a little jealous..
Would love to see a couple pics of your stable, too. Sounds like you're having a hell of a good time!
Welcome to the CBRF!
