Smile hi im a new driver and owner of a cbr and i got questions?

hi I'm a second year motorcycle driver I'm getting my license in June but I've been driving track just the same and I have bought a cbr f4 99 and want suggestion and tips - all you can give me I'm some what of a speed demon but I like to drive responsibly.. but my biggest question is what tire should I put on it to have maximum performance but still have a street legal tire in Canada and also what should i check on a bike that hasn't really run for a little more then a year?? thx for reading and I'll be posting pictures of the bike as soon as i get a chance..

Welcome to the forum Adam!

Lets see those pictures when you can.
As for your questions, you will get a lot of answers and advice if you put up a thread in the F4 section. There are many knowledgeable members there that will help.

If i may offer a bit of advice though: Please try to correct your spelling and use punctuation. Most of the members that will be willing to help, wont waste their time trying to decipher gibberish.

Wait a minute... Second year rider but don't have your license yet??? :O So, you've been on the track exclusively right? ;-)

Depends what kind of riding you are mostly going to do as to what tire selection would be best for your needs. Generally tho, a good dual compound tire would be sufficient...such as the Dunlop Q2, Michelin Pilot Power, etc. They will allow you to have some good durable wear in the center tread area, while providing some more sticky outside tread area for those twisties.

I own a 2000 F4 & I'm currently running Q2's. They have been great tires both on & off the track. I've used the Michelin series dual compounds as well w/ similar performance.

Yep, come on over to the F4 section, post a pic in one of the pic threads, & settle in. Good to have you w/ us. Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum, the bike looks great!

I can't really commit on tires, For a REALLY sticky tire I like the bridgestone BT-003, Those things have INSANE gripe. Only get around 3500 miles a set though. I really don't know if they are street legal in Canada, I know they are in the states.
