Default Hi from Greece (newbie)

Hi to all of you.

New member reporting from Greece.

I have one Q to ask.

I want to buy (and I will buy) a CBR 600F pretty soon, propably a used one.

Does anyone knows where can I find the Honda press releases for the CBR in order to know what changes
took place at what year?

Finally I want to purchace an injection model, so from what year on should I be looking for?

ThanQ for your replies in advance.

Take care

Lef

Hi and welcome, the only injected model F model is the F4i (which is the current model). They were carbed until 2000. Don't rule out the carbed ones though they are just as good

Hello and welcome to the forum Kavaliwtis.

I love FI bikes... I've had both. Carbs usually need more attention and have to be checked/adjusted more often. Plus you have this annoying word called a choke to deal with until the bike is warm and running.

FI will mean more expense and complications if it goes down... It's self-adjusting so you hit the start button in blazing summer heat or frozen winter and the bike starts and warms itself up. Plus... I live at/near a beach... hence sea level, but I often take trips to 1000 to 2000 above sea level and the bike runs about the same. Carbs should be adjusted to your altitude... but that's a fine tuning area that you/most might not notice.

Welcome to the boards Kavaliwtis I have to agree with Don on this one, FI makes life so much easier in winter. But living in Greece this may never be a problem for you.
