Hi all from the UK
Hi guys, I'm new to the bike world. I have spent my summer passing all the relevant tests and now ready to ride! I have picked up a battered CBR600 1997 and have repalced with origainal fairings (Mexcio black and yellow). It currenlty at a garage sorting MOT etc... when sorted will get some pics up.

Hi Gareth,
As a fellow CBRFUK member I'll officially welcome you from home ground. Well done getting all your tests passed. With that behind you there's a lot of open road to enjoy on your CBR.
Check out the link in road trips for CBR UK rides.

It would be good to have you along.
I must also do the same and get another ride going. Been too damned busy lately to contribute much on the forum. Criminal!
Bugkiller's idea was to do a cinque ports ride which still hasn't taken off yet but it certainly should. A nice coastal trip easily done in a day.
If you got any ideas you want to chuck in please feel free.
Look forward to seeing some pictures of your bike and hearing some more info about how she's running. You know you're in the right place if you have problems/questions.
Take care. Ride safe.
Henry

Welcome to the forum.
When do you think you will be 'on the road'?
Henry - thought you had gone into hiding??? How about 8th October for rideout?

No Rick, I'm not in hiding as such. Just buried under a mountain of work. Just busy digging the escape tunnel but it's proving hard to smuggle the earth past the guards.
Yeah, of course I'm up for the cinque port excursion. I'll add a little bit to the end of the ride if I may which will take us back to my place for tea and cucumber sandwiches on the verandah.
I may also suggest that although your route takes in all the port towns it could in fact run a lot closer to the coast line. Who needs A roads when you can have B's. Much more fun. If the weather's good we could stop for lunch at Beachy head.
So, who's game? I want to see at least 10 CBRs standing outside my drum at the end of the day. Come on lads and lassies, ya know you want to!!!
We may have to help Hawk get his cylinder head back before we leave though.
