Hi All from California SF Bay Area!
Hi All,
This is Walter, a new member of the forums and fairly experienced San Francisco Bay Area rider that's owned nothing but Hondas since the first time I wobbled into a bush. Amongst my other bikes I've had 2 CBRs, a '93 F2 back in college for about a year and I just picked up this 2K F4 about a month ago.
It's a little rashed and I spent about $1400 getting a new rear tire, chain and sprocket set along with a full 16000 mile checkup (right now the odo is at about 17,500 miles). I am told the bike is mechanically excellent. I bought it for $1900. So... so far I'm in $3300.
The remaining non-cosmetic issue? A ding in the front wheel. I didn't notice it at all during my test ride and even for a couple weeks after my purchase, and during that time I did have a couple blasts up to 110 mph without feeling any vibration or wobbles... close examination of the wheel reveals that it does have some weights on the other side of the rim to possibly offset the ding. Anyway at some point I'll post some detail pics of this and solicit a response on whether I should care at all about it or get it replaced... but in the mean time if you need to know anything about Bay Area roads let me know I've seen a lot of them!

Welcome aboard, man!
Very nice F4. Looks like you did good!
Sometimes I wish I lived in the SF Bay area.... particularly when it's snowing here...
I've been out your way and it's so nice. I have an uncle who lived in SF and Martinez for a while.
Anyway, good to have you here! If you have any questions about your bike, swing by the F4 section and post 'em on up!
