New to this forum and sportbikes. Going this sunday to pick up my first bike, a 1998 cbr f3 , red/blk, 8k mi.. asking $3500 ...gonna try to low ball for $3200 and work my way from their

just dropping in to say hi

Welcome to the club. I wouldn't call that low balling. Low balling would be offering $2800 IMO.

afraid if i got that low he may be even more intent on getting his $3500 out of it, ill find out this sunday whether or not he'll take the bait... It does come with a hjc helmet in my size, so that'll save me a little money.

Welcome to the forums ..the F3 is a great bike and only 8K on the clock ..barely run in ..lol

$3500 is about £1750 £1800 on our shoes I think .. which is a good price for low miles .. go for it!!

I usually start the negotiation process by asking "Is the price negotiable? If so, what is the lowest price you're willing to take for it?"
Also, if I was you, I wouldn't take that helmet, you simply dont know what its been through
