Hi All
I'm new to sport bikes. I just got an '06 F4i on 11/29. I only have about 350 miles so far, but I love it!
What a blast
I'm an old guy, so this is gonna take some getting used to. I rode a Honda Valkyrie for 2 years (19K miles) and currently have had an '05 Goldwing (20K miles) for a little over a year.
I'll keep the wing for the longer trips and two-up with the wife, but I wanted something fun for around the area and on the twisties.

Congrats on the F4i and welcome to the site. The Valkyrie has a bit more torque than your new bike -- you'll refind the funzone at around 10K rpms
You've been riding long enough that ya know to take it easy for a bit before you start ripping up asphalt so I won't say it[8D]

Actually the Wing has it all over the Valk... that's why I switched. The 1800 is not your grandfathers wing anymore [8D]
Welcome to the forum... I tried telling cjbettis that the goldwings scream, but I don't think he really believed me. My dad and brother both have them and I've put a few miles on both of them. A 6 cylinder boxer engine... on a sport bike frame, a little extra weight, but damn I thought I took off at a light easy, shifted to third and noticed I was at 98. Nothing to indicate your speed other than the speedo. There isn’t any noise or wind.
Anyways, thanks for joining us and don't forget to post pics in your album, look at the top of the new members section for details.

You`ll have fun on the f4i a bit different to the wing tho.
