Default Hi,

Hi,

New to the forum, thought I'd say hello.

I'm in process of restoring a 93 RRP, been a lot of headaches so far, stripped to frame, engine cases stove enamelled and in process of rebuilding, got head back last week so hoping to make some good progress if it gets a bit warmer.

Not sure of colour scheme yet ! Had my heart set on blabk/bronze but obtaining graphics is becoming a real headache, may go orhinal R/W/B ???

Sorry, should have read the rules closer !

I agree it would be nice 4 u guys to be able to see some of the mistakes I've made ! I purposly posted all the mistakes as I didn't want it to be a "hey look what I did this afternoon" - wreck to showbike in 20 minutes kinda thing!

Few quick pics : Bought RRP as a runner !, next day fork seal blew which started a full strip down. Had intended not to touch engine but after removing plugs pushed loads of road crap down plug holes whilst cleaning plug drain holes out ( so thats what those holes are).

Totally stripped lump - casings stove enamelled - gearbox overhauled - output shaft bearing replaced ( taken off a 918 ! ) Honda want £250.00 (dont know in dollars) for output shaft - can't get bearing seperatly !

Rolling chasis now back together (new head bearings & suspension roller bearing).

Head overhauled - new Valve stem oil seals & tappets re shimmed - should be back on in next few weeks.

Bodywork on hold until engine in & running !

44 pages of overhaul in 1 reply !!!!!

Last pic is of my SP1 (RC51)

Welcome... I really have a thing for solid bikes w/little or minimum graphics, but to each their own! Keep us updated on progress!
