Hey fellas, just a quick intro
Hows it going fellas, names Ronnie, have been waiting for a month for bank to get its act together n put $ into my account, it happened today so I went n picked up my new bike, its a 2005 cbr600rr, red blue n silver, although its last years model it was last 1 left in shop so I got it for a good price. Ive been comming to this site for a month now but never joined cos I thought I'd never get the cash outa the bank. Anyway Ive had bikes in the past but nothing as hot or modern as this, is it normal for the temp to sit on 100 degrees celcius around town, it drops when I go out on the road but seems to be running at boiling point around town. sorry about the metric measurements, if u just put up ya answers in your degrees I will convert, Thanks Fellas.[sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=feedback.gif]

Hello and welcome to the site. It is normal for my bike to heat up to 212 degrees F while I am sitting in traffic. 00 929RR
I wouldn't worry to much, read your owners manual, it should tell you at what temp is critical.

Welcome to the site. I have an 03 600RR and when I am in traffic it will get up to 219 F (103 C) and then the fan kicks on and knocks it down a couple degrees. I was also really concerned but after reading all the post, it seems to be normal. Where are you at that you bought the bike set up in Celsius?
