What's up? I'm new to this forum, just thought I'd introduce myself... I ride an '02 f4i it's my first street bike. I freekin love it!! I started riding dirt bikes when I was 10. Got into street bikes about 5 years ago but had to ride on the back for a while 'cause I didn't have my own. I don't know that much about bikes but I'm trying to learn. I really want to be able to work on my bike myself, know how it works, troubleshoot problems, etc... So far I have installed aftermarket turn signal on the front of the bike. It sounds so stupid but I was really proud of myself So you guys will probably hear me ask lots of silly questions as I try to get more familiar with the bike.

 

Welcome to the forum. You should feel proud of yourself for doing your own work. I've never like those guys that have a few extra hundred thousands to hand over of a show car. Build it yourself or at least have something to do with it.

Anyways, stay proud and I hope you learn a lot from us here.

 

Thanks Don! I hope to learn a lot too. And however pretentious those guys are that just throw money around and have someone else do their mods, I am still kind of jealous... I would love to be able to dump a bunch of money into my ride. But at least this way I will be able to appreciate it all more in the long run haha But mainly I'm in it for the ride so F it!

You will find if you have a question about a bike you will find the answer here. ALOT of us have been ridding and wrenching for years on all sorts of bikes.
