New to the board, but I've stopped by pretty often and read through alot of the posts in the F4i section.

Picked up my F4i about 3 months ago. 2001 with 27k on it, and goes up daily. Runs really strong, but also needed some work when I got it....and still does. Im pretty particular about how I want this bike to look when Im done. Just switched it to Mobil 1 Full Syn n K&N filter. Put a new D.I.D. chain on it too. It's got a Yoshi Carbon RS-1, that I recently turned into a shorty. Has an undertail kit, and custom plate bracket. Blacked out Zero gravity screen that I did.

Rest is pretty much stock except for a few things.

Previous owner did the paint scheme, but Im not a fan of it. This winter the bikes going under the knife and is coming out with a much cleaner look.

This is basically what I'm thinking. I've always LOVED the oem white/red scheme on the F4i, probably one of my favorites of all time. Not a huge fan of the large red graphics though.



This is a cleaner, more simplistic look. Do a smaller black wing farther off the fairing, giving it almost a "rising sun" look. Not pictured but planned is painting all the silver pieces (rear peg brackets, brake lever, etc) black. Also want to do a rear seat cowl and trade my black zero grav double bubble for a standard black screen. (If it's clear doesn't matter, Ill black it out myself).
