After Isabelle I was actually looking for a 1000, but found a steal of a deal on my 600rr so I couldn't pass it up.
600's are a little lighter in the twisties. 1000's got more low end...
Do you like power wheelie'ing? Hah.
Try to get some time on both if you can, but 99% of people will never push a 600 to its limit. Not that there aren't other differences.
I'd buy whatever you find the best deal on.

Hiyu Sheen , welcome to the CBRF
Mate , I think as Nate said , many if not most do not push even 600's to there limits , so I believe that you might want to concider a few different things other than power and price ...
How big are you ? the 600's can be a squeeze for a large gentleman ... and the 1000's can be a bit more comfortable ..
For instance , we have a ton of 1000F owners here and near all of them prefer the 1000F at least for the fact that they still allow us to relax a bit in a reasonable seating position ... and that is asside from ALL the other great things about them , including that they are fairly cheap to pick up ...
The 600's are just as much a bike as the 1000's these days , so power really is not the issue most of the time ...
Even the weight of the bike can be a deal breaker for some guys ..
anyways mate ....you have fun here and if you really need CBR specific info , do as Sprockie says and hit the search on the boards that you want to look for info on ...
If you need to , you can post up specific questions on the particular CBR model board that you are looking at buying..
take care ....

I would not count out the 929 or 954. I have not ridden them but I believe they are a little bigger than the 600's. The new 1000's are about the size of the 600's these days. They just cram more motor in them. The 1000F is more of a sport touring then a sport bike by today's standards.
Going from the Saber to a CBR is a huge leap of lose of comfort but on the other hand, you have something to tuck up behind in crappy weather with the CBR.
Welcome aboard!
