Default Helmet recommendation

I just picked up an '05 black RR. I'm trying to find a helmet that matches the bike well, but everything in the dark colors are mostly grays. Are there any good helmets with patterns that would match, or is my best bet a solid color black helmet?

I have used Shoei's and AGV's in the past and they have been pretty nice helmets. I never got into the Arai's as I found them very expensive. Nowadays, I am using HJC helmets as they seem to be a good value. I figure that as long as they have the DOT or Snell certification, they should protect reasonably well.

That being said, I might consider going to a more expensive helmet if I was..
1. Racing (either legally or illegally)
2. Doing extensive (long-distance) riding
3. Frequently riding during sub-optimal weather conditions (100+ degree summers, high humidity, etc)

In these cases it may be worth it to invest in a helmet which is lighter or has lower wind-noise or more extravagent venting/liner materials. Above all, your helmet choice should depend largely on what fits best on your head.

I have a KBC VR-1 Euro, and it looks awesome..
They have both snell and DOT certifications as well as Euro 2k certifications. Don't over look them, they are really nice helmets and priced at reasonable prices!!! No doubt! Check out this review on an old one. (The one I have, last yrs model)

I switch between a Shoei Z-II and a KBC wolf and I am quite happy with both. I was about to get the Scorpion because of the no fog shield and fit. I decide to spend a bit more money to buy the Shoei because I got a deal online so if money was not an issue get a Shoei, AGV or Arai. If it is Scorpion is a great inexpensive deal. One thing to consider, make sure the helmet fits comfortably without slipping off your head.
