Hello from Tom (Horwich, Bolton, UK)
Hi Guys,
Just a quickie to introduce myself. I'm 51, marred with kids and 1 grandchild. Work as an Operations Director, love to rebuild old 70/80's bikes as a hobby and love to be out and about on bikes, new and old.
Had allsorts of stuff over the years, from the good old Honda CB250 G5 to a Yamaha MT-01. Currently got a 2007 CBR600F with a thousand miles on the clock!! Got it from a guy who bought it new and then stored it for 3 years! Obviously in MINT condition. An absolute steal too.
Just fitted an Ignitor Alarm, a Zumo SatNav, Heated Grips and a Scottoiler. Next week I'll be fitting a BlueFlame Titanium exhaust, a Hugger, a Seat Cowl, R&G Bungs and a Bagster Tank Protector and EvoSign Bag.
Even though I've had a CBR600RR7, I must admit that I prefer the F. It's not quite as sharp and focused and therefore gives an allround easier ride in real life conditions. Still PLENTY fast enough though! And those brakes - WOW!!!
What I don't quite understand about this forum, is where do I post stuff about my particular model - the F6??? It seems there are subgroups for CBR600F's up to 2002 but no category for those after that year.
Anyway, I look forward to speaking with you all.

Howdy hey!
Slap me with a kipper but that looks like the F4i. But I thought Honda ended production in 06. Same banana seat, gauges, frame color and such. Maybe when Juliet pokes her head in she can shed a little light. But till then I'd say head over to the F4i subforum, under current models.

Yes, but you guys are from America. I'm guessing that maybe what you call the F4i is the same as a regular "F" here in the UK. From what I can understand, the "F" designation is followed by the number of the year of manufacture - in this case - a 6 because it was built in 2006 (even though it wasn't registered until 07.

Hey Tom, welcome to CBRF!! Great looking bike you have there, and you have some cool doodads on her. Would love to have a set of those heated handgrips. Sounds like you've got some good mods in the can too. Don't forget to post up some new pics of your baby when you're done tweeking her.
Take care and enjoy the forums.
