Default Hello from Seattle!

Hi everyone,

I'm 20, and as a stereotypical young guy...I decided to buy a motorcycle! After doing some research..I found the best bike in my price range was the CBR, so I went out in search of the best I could find in my area. I managed to purchase myself a '96 F3 with 22k miles on it. It has a few modifications which I'm happy are already done for me: APE cam chain tensioner, Yoshi pipe, stage 1 jet kit, K&N air filter and an on/off switch to override the automatic radiator fan.

I'm new to the motorcycle world, but have been passionate about it for numerous years and look forward to the joys it'll bring me. Already I dream of hoping back on (read on)

Being a nut when it comes to knowing how EVERYTHING I own works...I've decided to pull it apart, clean it, repaint the frame and fairings (as the frame has small rust spots under where the seat and tank sits and the fairings have small scratches..it was laid down at a stop light by previous owner) and I want to install an F4I gauge to it! It also needs new steering stem bearings and rear wheel bearings. So..it needs a bit of TLC!

Currently it's sitting in my room on my ingenious (i think so!) stands. Hopefully by March, I'll have everything done to it and it'll be ready to ride again!

Check my photobucket for pictures of what I'm currently doing to it!

Thank you. It'll be nice having others with similar feelings and thoughts towards this sport/lifestyle and who lovvvee these machines as much as I do.

Was not able to find a "social group" in my quick links. I did find the F3 forum section though!
