The 600 is a great bike to get you started on in either case mate..

Ireland, I remember rough roads and rain, lots of it!!
Welcome to the forums, sorry I am only over in the UK and visted Ireland with my family in 1989 ..I think we just had a particularly rainy week there ..lol
F2 lovely bike, I loved mine and still wish I had it sometimes, especially since my F3 is lying in bits in the garage

Welcome to CBRF!! I can't remember welcoming any other member from Ireland. You may be the only one. Sorry about your crappy roads. Come on over and ride around Pennsylvania awhile and you'll change your mind about your roads, I promise...lol.
Take care over there and keep the shiney side up. Don't be afraid to post. Why don't you start by posting a picture of your F2. As you can see, I have one as well and I always like to see some of the other ones still on the road.
