Default Hello from New York.

Hey everyone, new here. Just bought a 00' F4 yesterday and once I take my MSF in May it'll be seeing some street time.

Also, might as well give you a look at the new toy.

4500 original miles
jet kit
yoshi RS-3

Weather isn't too hot in NY at the moment but I'll give her a good washing/waxing and post something up in the daytime.

Didn't read all the rules, sorry. Some background: I'm completely new to bikes, only have ridden a little bit of dirt in the past. I'm 24 and basically I'm not registering/plating my bike until I have my full license. after that I'll be cruising in 2-3 person groups. (883 sportster and a wideglide) Next season I'd like to try a little track riding if I decide to get another bike for dedicated track usage. I went out and bought a new set of gear SNELL helmet, all CE rated armor and have been combing the internet reading everything I could get my hands on about responsible riding and also talking to the head of my MSF course. They have all been really helpful and I'm excited to get into the sport.

Done with the wall of text, nice to meet you all.

Good lookin' bike! Do you know where the aftermarket fairings came from?

I've got a 2000 F4 as well. Come on over to the F4 section & post up some more pics.

Kudos on signing up for the MSF. I recommend it to all new riders.

Sounds like you are approaching motorcycling in an intelligent & responsible manner. Good job on getting good protective gear. It can save your life & will certainly save your skin!

Keep up your reading on riding technique & safety. It will pay dividends.

Good to have you w/ us.

No clue on the fairings to be honest. I know it was lowsided once or twice but the frame is in good shape. Off to the F4 subforums!
