Default Hello! New to this scene!

Hey guys, I'm new to the scene. I just purchased a 94 cbr 600 F2 as my first bike. I purchased her for about 1300 and I'm relatively happy upon my purchase. My only concern is that the person I bought the bike off rebuilt the motor, but didn't put a new clutch and the throw-out bearing is making noise (or atleast I think its the throw-out bearing). Here's a couple of pictures of her. Not the best because its at night.

Anyone have any suggestions of which parts when I plan on changing I should buy? Like what brand rotors/brake pads/helmets/gloves/clutch kits etc. Or what brand oil and weight I should use. I'm a total novice and I think my auto skills aren't enough for a bike matter.

What I really want is a decent black small diameter helmet that's known for safety and looks, and also a good clutch kit I could buy to install on to quite my bike. Because while not holding the clutch level down it makes a light grumbling noise and when I hold the clutch level down the noise totally disappears. Suggestions would be great! Thank you! And I hope to continue on with my new bike!!! Yay for me!

Wet clutches on ALL motorcycles make the grumbling noise you describe when the clutch is out and you are in neutral.

Welcome!

Also, the motorcycle scene is fairly large here in Los Angeles. Join on socalsportbikes.com also. You can meet some people that are local.

Congrats on the new ride. Beautiful bike. If you plan on replacing the clutch, the OEM set is perfect, no reason to go 3rd party. Not sure about the sound issue that you've observed. It may be the CCTL. You can do a search on the forum to see if that may be noise issue that you're hearing. Be safe out there.

Thanks for the reply's. I'll try to be as safe as I could... no guarantee that drivers out there will be as safe as we wish they would.

As for the clutch making noise, its grumbling to the point where it sounds like the engine is knocking. That's why I wanna change it because the knocking is too loud to be normal. I'm almost positive its the throw-out bearing. I mean, I'm a freelance mechanic and if I were to analyze the situation for a car my diagnosis would be the same. Unless the clutch on the bike is different, then I'm totally incorrect.

Does anyone have a diagram of how the clutch assembly is?
