Hello! (New member post)
The 2000 CBR 600F4 is a great bike. It has a reliable engine, great handling, high build quality, and is beginner-friendly.
However, there are some common issues to watch for. The regulator/rectifier can fail, but an aftermarket upgrade can prevent this. The cam chain tensioner may rattle, which can be fixed by replacing it. The stator might fail over time, so keep an eye on the charging system. Fuel injectors can clog if the bike sits too long.
Overall, it's a solid bike. With regular maintenance and a few upgrades, it will run great for years.
Ride safe,
Saint Nic

Welcome to the forum, can't go wrong with a CBR, if its a 2000 model, then will have carbs, FI started in 2001.
You may have to factor in a full carb strip down and clean if it has not been running for a while.
