Default Hello from the new guy

Hello everyone. Going to pick up an '01 600 F4I this week, 13k miles and never been dropped. I'll have pictures once I get it cleaned up. This will be my first bike, spent much of my childhood and teens riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. I've spent the last two days reading the "How to: Riding skills" section on here and watching Twist of the wrist II. Plan on taking the MSF course as soon as work and weather permits and look forward to learning the in's and out's of street riding. You won't have to worry about me asking common questions. I belong to many car forums, 2 alone for my 1989 Mercedes 190E, so I'm well educated on forum etiquette and the search function lol.

Welcome from another new guy. The F4i is an awesome first bike. The MSF coarse is a good choice. I took the coarse before I started riding. What part of NY are you from?

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, the bike's not perfect. Though it's never been dropped the tank has a smell dent from the first owner and the rear plastic is split a little just above the tail light. The guy I'm buying it from thinks the first owner did that while installing the under tail kit. It's got a Jardine slip on aluminum exhaust and turn signals integrated into the mirrors(gotta install those yet). He's also throwing in a motoGP shorty exhaust with it I guess.
