Default Hello from me.... and happy New Year

Hello all, just a short intro for ya.
My name is Andy, I'm 43 and live in Dundee, Scotland and I just gave myself a early christmas present in the form of a CBR 1000F-M ('91), 'pretty in pink' with those Benetton colours huh....
I'll be posting things like, 'how does this f***** seat come off!' and 'who put the starter under the carbs?'.
Anyhow, all the best to you all for the New Year and safe riding.

Thanx for the warm welcome folks

ORIGINAL: CBRclassic

The seat comes off with a key at the side ...have you tried the key ? ...or.is yours a bit stuck ?

The starter is under there so as to drive all of us nuts mate ...
Managed to lever the catch to remove seat today, as the key mechanism is broke. battery is out n on charge. My prob is the starter, I've read thru the forum for ideas and will be making a start next week, but by the sounds of the starter its pointing towards starter clutch, alternator damper. I'll keep you posted on that...

Hell yeah! today it's just above 0 and a wee bitty damp, not exactly biking weather. I'm situated about 30mls short of the start of the highlands which had about -12 at the end of December.

All the best Andy.
