I've just purchased myself a project in the hopes of getting it ready to ride by the time I've passed my test.
I'm currently getting around on a little green bike from China and can't wait to get rid and (fingers crossed) get on the 98 CBR600 F3 I've bought.
I'll be posting here and there as the project goes on and would appreciate any input from anybody with information or experience they're willing to share.
I'm fairly new to forums so if I do go wrong somewhere, I'm sorry in advance.
thanks bud!
now I just have to get the thing running...
It's been sat in a garage for about 4 years and hasn't been run.
it will fire with some easy start now I've done the plugs but won't run under its own.
Idle jets are blocked :-( not too bad a job, just have to pull the carbs, flip them over and clean out the jets.
Hopefully that will solve the problem for the time being. I'm planning on rebuilding them and having them cleaned properly but I am hoping I can at least get the bike running first, Even if it runs extremely badly.
I just want some peace if mind before I start ploughing £££s into it.
Very nice, takes me back, I had one from new 1998 FW in the same colours.
It was a great bike, moved on in 2005 for an F5.
Nice! I really do like it in these colours. There was one exactly the same around the corner from me when I was a child. I've always wanted an old school honda and thought why not for £600.
