Trust me, it took a whole bunch elbow grease and TLC to get them to the shape they're in now especially the 550. The main concern for both bikes was to make sure all things electrical and mechanical were in good working order and essentially safe to ride. Neither bike is 100% show worthy but pretty close and more upgrades to come this spring for the 550. My oldest initially had dreams of turning the 750 into a cafe racer which is why it will have a gas tank and seat from a '77 750 super sport but other than that I told him to leave it alone and if anything bring it back to stock some day, at least with it's original seat and tank. The older 750's are increasing in value so the more he leaves it alone in regards to mods the better. I've got another cb750 frame and engine he can play with to put cbr forks and swing arm and do what ever mods he wants for a cafe racer build.
