hello forum
Hi everyone. I am new to the motorcycle world and extremely interested in a black cbr250r with or without abs. I am not sure which yet, but has to be black. My feud is with the dealers. They seem to stick to the price and add additional fees. I am ok with prep and delivery charge, but 1200 extra seems outrageous. Any reputable dealers that have common sense? North Hollywood seem kind but with sharp teeth. The lowest price on fees was 300 delivery and 150 prep from Santa Barbara. I can drive anywhere to pick it up and drive it back to Sherman Oaks.
I do need some advice from you guys. abs or non abs, and most importantly, what dealer does not rape you on their prep/delivery fees. North Hollywood dealer is nice, until you see the blue ink and are in my opinion outrageous.

I'm not from the area, so I can't really comment on good dealers. However.... I would check out sites like cycletrader, craigslist, and ebay. They can lead you to all the dealers within a couple hundred miles of you. Cycletrader is usually really good for this. They may even surprise you with their online prices.

I would definately find one used from a private party seller. It will save you hundreds. Most people buy these as starter bikes and learn to ride/ take their tests on these because they are easier to control, therefore the bikes get sold quickly with fewer miles then other bikes, many people ride them for one season and realize they want more power or better highway riding. I've seen them for around $2500-3000 in Ohio with around 1K miles.. practically brand new. I started out on a 250 and loved it. just upgraded to a cbr 600 myself
