Default Hello :). First big bike: CBR600F4i

Hi,

Im Ben and i am from England, i had a Yamaha YZF125R for 3 weeks but i got bored really quickly after 3 weeks! Did my tests and got my full license last Friday.

I had a deposit on a Kawasaki ER6F (Ninja 650R to you US guys), but when i went back into the showroom they had my dream bike: A CBR600F4i

That box is coming straight off! I get it on Wednesday. What you think?

Welcome to the forum.

Id say you made a great decision to go with the F4i. It looks pretty clean in the pic. You will love that bike for many years, not just weeks!

Thanks

Its 2004, 16k miles. Got it for £3500 ($5700 i think).

First plans are smoke screen, air filter, exhaust, crash bobbins, seat cowl. Love it though, it was always my dream bike since i saw a black/red CBR600RR. I was going to be happy with the Kawasaki, but i would of always wanted a CBR. I could only get decent insurance on a CBR6F, FSport and above was crazy. But i couldnt find any locally - until suddenly as soon as i passed my test and went into the Honda dealer to tell them i saw this, only came in last Tuesday and didn't even have price tags on it yet. My ER6 had been prepped and was ready to go, but after the CBR it was exactly what i knew i had to have!

I never really liked blue bikes, but this is nice dark blue with a purpleish tint. Almost looks black though in some lights which i like.

Very nice! I would keep that box handy tho. If you ever decide to cruise around Europe and make it down to Italy, let me know!

Yeah will probably keep it, i'll take it off and just put the bolts back in (not sure if the grab rail is in there or something though).

Useful though, its a decent Givi one as well, bonus

That's cool your got your dream bike. I wanted one back when I joined the military, friends talked me into a car instead (probably a good idea at 19). I Had some small bikes along the way like yourself, but now since I'm a grown up I finally got my CBR, haha.

Definite bonus. I have the Ventura system on my 900. I love it.
