Hello all my names Luke Im 18 and from beautiful Southern California , I have been riding dirtbikes and minibikes since I was a little kid and have stepped up now to my first street bike, currently on a 94 CBR900RR I have noticed that the 900rr forum does not get as much love as the 1000x or the other forums so I was not sure where to post my mechanical related question...I am having a sort of ticking and grinding noise when I let my clutch out into 1st gear ....regardless of how fast or slow I let it out now it makes the noise, I have had the bike for a little less then 2 months now with 22xxx miles, purchased at 20.5xx miles....I am afraid to ride my bike now because I dont want to hurt it, sometimes it doesnt do it at all but most of the time it does..there is no slipping in my gears or clutch and all the other gears are fine =/

also if anyone lives in Southern Cali near the LA area and would like to ride I am always willing! !! ! ! !

 

Hey Luke, Welcome aboard!

Some of the sections are indeed more busy than others. The F4i forum is probably the busiest.

The gear boxes are notoriously clunky, but not sure about a clutch sound. Hopefully someone else will have some better advise.

Also post up some pics of your new to you toy!
