Hello Everybody, new guy here
Hello everybody I'm new to this site as well at motorcycles in general. I am looking to buy a used 600RR for around four grand or less. I am also looking for input on insurance. I am 20 years old and am not new to wrenching around the garage on cars. Im definately a noob when it comes to cycles but im willing to learn and in the market for a good used bike so if you know of one or have one please feel free to contact me. I am located in Rock HIll, SC which is 20 minutes South of Charolette, NC. I hope my stay here is a postive one and hope to be posting more frequently. Cheers. -Ryan Schwartz

RE: Hello Everybody, new guy here
welcome ryan! a 600RR for 4k or less is next to impossible to find in my neck of the woods; unless of course it's wrecked/salvaged. it's a great bike and i wish you the best of luck in your search for one. don't forget to check out the "for sale" section of this forum...

RE: Hello Everybody, new guy here
Hello and welcome to the forum. 03 is the first year the 600RR came out so 4k is a little low for most sellers. Riders hold onto them so a good used one is really hard to find. Nothing is impossible... my neighbor just picked up a 2002 R6 with less the 20k miles, slight plastic damage to the lower and upper fairing for 2200. It needs new tires, wind screen and some love... but damn, what a deal. Find a group of sport bike riders and talk to them.

RE: Hello Everybody, new guy here
hey guys thanks for the welcome. Being pretty clueless about bike models i didnt know the RR was such a new model. Im actually looking for an older model 600f4. my neighbor has one that was set up as a race bike with some engine work as well as lots of suspension mods. He says the bike handels like its on rails and he says he can take down liter bikes with it. Said it dynoed at 106 to the wheels and hes going to sell it for 4700. a little over my price so im still looking. im going to keep my eyes peeled for a used bike on here and get the new cycle traders when they come out. I also looked into taking the motorcycle safety course and luckily for me the local community college is one of the places that holds the course. well guys, wish me luck and ill continue to be on here.
