Default hello to everybody

Hey guys I just purchased my first bike its a 2002 F4i (pics to come shortly). I'm waiting a few more days for my insurance to get straightened out till I can take her out onto the streets. Anyway as I was fiddling around with the different buttons and keys, I couldn't seem to get the gas cap open. I stuck the key in and turned maybe a quarter of a rotation and the cap pops up slightly but it doesnt open up all the way (I tried to pull too but I was afraid of breaking something). I tried all possible methods but i can't seem to get it right . I feel like such a newb right now but if anybody can tell me how to do it I would greatly appreciate it!

As far as the petrol cap goes try squirting some WD40 down the key slot and on the key itself and work it in a bit ..sometimes pressing the cap down slightly as you turn the key helps too :-)

Welcome to CBRF nemesis!!! Jules is right. Mine is the same way. The cap sort ofpops up when you turn the keyand release it.You have to press slightly down on the cap or the friction is too great to spin thekey.

Good lucksorting the insurance thing out andcheck intoa motorcycle safety coursefor next year if you haven'talready. It'll save you somegreen come next insurance time. Have fun out thereand we are gonna hold you to those pics.

Thanks guys I will try that out.
On another note the guy I bought my bike from didn't have an owners manual. I was able to download a service manual online but I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to get the owners manual in .pdf?

Maybe e-Bay - they sometimes pop up there, Sam..............
Dealerships want stupid prices - maybe also check the tech section, or for sale area ?
I have a friend with an F4i - maybe we can borrow his book and scan the pages, if all else fails ?
